Kori Chambers

Kori L. Chambers received her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Miami University in 1998, and received her juris doctorate in 2001 from Indiana University McKinney School of Law  in Indianapolis. She is an Attorney/Liability Claim Specialist with Indiana University Health Risk Retention Group where she manages the defense of medical negligence and general negligence cases involving Indiana University Health facilities.  She is licensed to practice in the state of Indiana and before the Federal District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association where she has previously served as the Young Lawyers Division Chair. In 2008, Ms. McOmber was named Young Lawyer of the Year by the Indianapolis Bar Association. In 2009, DTCI named Ms. Chambers the Young Lawyer of the Year for her leadership qualities in service to the Indiana defense bar, the national defense bar, and the community. She has also been named a "Rising Star" by the Indiana Super Lawyers publication in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Chamber was appointed by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels and reappointed by Governor Mike Pence to the Indiana Commission for Women.

Lucy Dollens

Lucy Dollens is a Partner in the Indianapolis office of Quarles & Brady, LLP.  Lucy is an experienced appellate litigator, having handled well over 100 appeals in both state and federal appellate courts on an expansive range of legal issues. She also represents amicus curiae parties regarding significant issues of Indiana law before Indiana’s Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.  Lucy was the 2103 recipient of the DTCI Defense Counsel of the Year Award. Lucy is also an experienced commercial litigator and enjoys advising clients on a broad range of contractual issues prior to the initiation of litigation. Her practice extends to federal and state trial and appellate courts, bankruptcy courts, proceedings involving governmental agencies and regulators, and class actions. Lucy also handles general litigation, product liability matters, toxic tort litigation, premises liability issues, and matters involving the enforcement of restrictive covenants in employment agreements.  Licensed in both Indiana and West Virginia, Lucy also has extensive experience defending financial institutions, servicers, and consumer finance companies in a broad range of litigation disputes.  She graduated from Butler University (B.A., cum laude) and Indiana University - McKinney School of Law (J.D. summa cum laude).  Lucy, her husband, Mike, and their three children enjoy rooting for the Butler Bulldogs and the Indianapolis Colts.


James W. Hehner

Jim Hehner is a member of the Indianapolis law firm of Hehner & Associates. He has over twenty years of experience conducting jury trials and representing clients in both state and federal court, primarily in the areas of first party and third party insurance defense. He graduated from Indiana University (BS 1980) and Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis (JD 1983). Mr. Hehner is also a civil mediator and frequently serves on arbitration panels. He is admitted to practice in Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Hehner is also active in numerous other civic organizations including the Carmel Clay Public Library Foundation and the Carmel Dad’s Club sports program. He and his wife Darcy live in Carmel with their three children.

Young Lawyers

Molly Lee

Molly is an associate in Lewis Wagner’s litigation group where she concentrates her practice in premises liability defense, insurance defense and personal injury defense. Prior to joining Lewis Wagner, Molly represented individuals, businesses, and state agencies in a variety of areas, including wrongful death, construction design defect, automobile negligence, property damage and defamation claims. Molly earned her J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. While pursuing her law degree, Molly served as an Academic and Membership Affairs Legal Extern for the NCAA and as a Legal Intern for The Finish Line, Inc. Molly earned her bachelor’s degree from DePauw University.


Patricia McCrory

Patricia concentrates her practice in complex business litigation including litigation of intellectual property disputes, trade infringement, director and officer liability, environmental contamination, and lender liability.  Her clients include corporations, sole proprietorships, limited liability companies, not-for-profit entities, health care providers and financial institutions.  She has been recognized by Best Lawyers (2009-2015) in the areas of Commericial Litigation; Litigation - Banking Finance; Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions - Defendants, and by Indiana Super Lawyer as the 2015 Indianapolis Mass Tort Litigation/Class Action - Defense "Lawyer of the Year".  Only a single lawyer per practice area in each community is honored as a "Lawyer of the Year". 


Libby Valos Moss Moss

Libby Valos Moss is a Partner with the firm Kightlinger & Gray, LLP.  She is a trial attorney who concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law and defense of employers before the Indiana Worker's Compensation Board.  She is a frequent speaker on the issues employer's face when confronted with worker's compensation claims.  She is admitted to practice in Indiana and before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.  Libby is a 1995 graduate of Ball State University and graduated from the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, in 1999.  She has served as the Chair of the DTCI Worker's Compensation Section.  In addition to being an active member of DTCI, she is also a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, Litigation Counsel of America and Defense Research Institute.


Elliott Pinkie

Elliott Pinkie is a partner with the Cline Law Group in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense, medical licensing and credentialing, premises and products liability, and general civil litigation. Elliott has represented clients in bench trials, and has first and second chair jury trial experience. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Indiana.  Elliott has been selected multiple times for inclusion in the listing of Indiana Rising Stars® for his medical malpractice defense work.  In addition to defending physicians and other health care professionals in medical malpractice litigation, Elliott represents long-term care facilities and retail establishments against claims of negligence.  He also defends manufacturers against product liability claims under the Indiana Product Liability Act (IPLA).  Elliott earned a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Ball State University (1995), and a J.D. from The Claude W. Pettit College of Law, Ohio Northern University (2000). He is a member of the Indiana State (ISBA) and Indianapolis Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute (DRI), Indiana Health Care Association (IHCA), the American College of HealthCare Executives, and, of course, Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (DTCI).  Elliott is an active supporter of the Social Health Association of Indiana, Inc., a United Way Agency, where he has served on the Board of Directors since 2007. 

Women in the Law

Germaine Willett

Germaine Winnick Willett serves as Senior Counsel in Ice Miller LLP’s Labor, Employment and Immigration Section.  She focuses her practice primarily on employment litigation matters, assisting clients with employment discrimination, wage and hour, contract, and other employment-related litigation.  She also advises clients on a broad range of issues including proper handling of employee complaints, employment termination, employee leave and accommodation issues, and employment policies.  Ms. Willett has represented clients in Indiana’s state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies.   Ms. Willett is a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (chair of Women in the Law Division, 2017), the Indianapolis Bar Association (chair of Women in Law Division, 2011 and co-chair of WLD Mentoring Program 2012-2017), and the American Bar Association.  She currently serves of the Board of Directors of Growing Places Indy.  Ms. Willett received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from DePauw University in 1994.  She earned her juris doctorate, cum laude, from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law Bloomington, Indiana in 1998 where she served as a Note Editor for the Indiana Law Journal and President of the Women’s Law Caucus.  She was admitted to practice in Indiana and joined Ice Miller LLP in 1998.
