Workers' Comp

Sacha Armstrong

Sacha Armstrong is a partner in the worker’s compensation and employment practice of Kightlinger & Gray. Her primary areas of practice are Kentucky and Indiana workers’ compensation and employment law, and products liability litigation. Her practice includes providing advice and counsel to employers, reviewing, drafting and updating policies as well as conducting employee trainings on topics such as harassment and handling employee worker’s compensation claims. Sacha also handles all aspects of pre-litigation investigation, evidence and witness preparation and trial work. She regularly responds to and participates in agency investigations and administrative proceedings, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Indiana and Kentucky Labor Cabinets, United States Department of Labor and Kentucky and Indiana Workers' Compensation Boards.  Sacha is a member of the American, Kentucky, Indiana and Evansville Bar Associations. She is admitted to practice in all Kentucky and Indiana State courts, as well as in United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit and United States District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.

Sacha is an active member of the Evansville Bar Association and serves as the Vice President of the Board. She is also the co-chair of the Evansville Bar Association Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and President of the Vanderburgh County Law Library Foundation Board.  Sacha is involved with the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce and other legal and professional organizations in her area, in addition to serving as the Board Vice President for Holly’s House, a child advocacy center.

Carl Hayes

Keith Mundrick

Keith Mundrick is an attorney with Cantrell Strenski & Mehringer, LLP in Indianapolis, where he provides representation to a wide variety of corporate clients, focusing his practice in the areas of product liability, premises liability, and catastrophic personal injury defense, including toxic tort and wrongful death claims. Keith also advises and represents insurance companies in the areas of bad faith, policy coverage, first-party and third-party defense.


Keith has successfully tried several cases to verdict as first-chair or second-chair trial counsel. He has also written, argued, and won dozens of summary judgment and other pre-trial motions in state and federal court. Keith’s appellate practice has included complex matters of statewide significance, and he has represented clients in the Supreme Court of Indiana and Indiana Court of Appeals.


When he isn’t practicing law, you can find Keith exploring and enjoying Indy’s great restaurants (or perhaps trying to bike off some of those calories). Keith lives in downtown Indianapolis with his family.

Employment Law

Hannesson I. Murphy

Hannesson Murphy is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Indianapolis, Indiana office and a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Law Department. ??Mr. Murphy has extensive experience counseling and advising employers in all aspects of managing the employment relationship with their workforce, including: the crafting of employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements; the creation and maintenance of effective policies and procedures to govern the workplace; counseling employers with respect to disciplining and terminating employees; counseling employers with respect to reductions in force and ensuring that group terminations comply with the requirements of federal statutes and regulations; defending employers against all manner of contract, discrimination, harassment and wrongful discharge claims that could be asserted against them.  Mr. Murphy has obtained successful results for employers in a wide variety of legal matters, including claims involving breach of contract, defamation, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful discharge, among others.


Construction Law

Thaddeus Schurter

Thaddeus Schurter is an Associate with Drewry Simmons Vornehm, LLP who focuses his practice on Construction Litigation. Having worked in construction for ten years before becoming an attorney, he brings exceptional insight and technical experience to the table for his clients. Mr. Schurter represents clients from across the full spectrum of construction industry participants including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners. He also advises clients in a wide range of design and construction related matters including contract review, negotiation, and termination, construction and design defect claims, professional negligence claims, performance and payment bond disputes, lien claims, and payment security issues. Mr. Schurter recently served as counsel for a major telecommunications company in numerous property damage and personal injury cases arising out of an explosion and fire caused by an uncontrolled gas leak.  He has also represented clients in cases involving boiler explosions, building envelope failures, roof collapses, structural failures, and premises liability claims.

Product Liability

Jessica Williams Schnelker

Jessica Williams Schnelker  practices in Product Liability Litigation and Tort and Insurance Defense. Jessica has represented clients in product liability matters in a variety of industry sectors, and currently litigates across the country on a team of attorneys who serve as national counsel for a major construction and agricultural equipment manufacturer. Jessica’s trial experience includes successfully defending a local government entity in an eight-day federal jury trial in the Northern District of Indiana and obtaining a defense verdict on behalf of a product manufacturer in the Western District of Michigan.  Jessica graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2013. While in law school, Jessica was the Executive Note Editor for the Journal of Legislation. Serving on Notre Dame Law School’s Honor Council for two years, Jessica became Honor Council Chair from 2012-2013. In addition, Jessica coached the Notre Dame Parliamentary Debate Team, and had the honor of working as Research Assistant for Professor Avishalom Tor. Jessica graduated from Purdue University in 2010 with degrees in Psychology and Political Science.
