John T. VanDenburgh is a partner in the firm’s Merrillville office. John focuses his practice on a wide range of civil litigation defense matters in both Indiana and Illinois, with an emphasis on construction, transportation and general negligence. He also frequently represents clients in other tort matters including premises liability, product liability and medical malpractice actions.

John has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, and has successfully defended a variety of cases through trial.  He defends construction companies in work-site accident and construction defect matters, and trucking companies in transportation cases.  John is often called upon by his clients to engage in and coordinate immediate response teams for catastrophic accidents in order to develop and implement a defense strategy from the earliest possible moment.

While in law school, John was the Managing Editor of the Valparaiso University Law Review. He also served as a Judicial Extern for Magistrate Judge Andrew Rodovich of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and served as a student law clerk for several state court judges in Northwest Indiana.
